Hide the Word 4: Refuge & Strength
20
Scripture memory songs featuring vocals by Phil Kim, Stacy Pomroy,
Rochelle Calvetti, Chris Wright, Greg King, Rochelle King, Chris
McCrae, Kristin Rhoads, and Ian Murphy. As on the last album, Once
for All, Stephen Altrogge has written and performed on two of
the songs. In addition to vocals, Chris McCrae contributes his
creativity on piano and drums. Barry Little does another sizzling
guitar solo on James 1:17, and once again Roger Hooper plays some cool
organ solos. Stephen Altrogge plays some acoustic guitar reminiscent
of Stephen Stills on Isaiah 40:11.
We think you'll enjoy the outstanding vocals and the variety of
styles of music represented on the album. Our goal is to make
memorizing Scripture fun and easy. Who says memorizing Scripture has
to be difficult and tedious?
All the Scriptures used in Refuge & Strength are from
the ESV (English Standard Version), which is a very accurate and
wonderful translation of the Bible. Price: $9.99

- Philippians 4:6-7 ...do not be
anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to
God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Isaiah 42:3-4 ...a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly
burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth
justice. 4 He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has
established justice in the earth...
- Lamentations 3:21-23 But this I
call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the
LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new
every morning; great is your faithfulness.
- Isaiah 40:11 He will tend his
flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he
will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with
young.
- Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your life
free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for
he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not
fear; what can man do to me?"
- Numbers 23:19 God is not man,
that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his
mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and
will he not fulfill it?
- Hebrews 2:14-15 Since therefore the children share in flesh and
blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that
through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death,
that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who through fear of
death were subject to lifelong slavery.
- Jeremiah 32:40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant,
that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put
the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.
- Hebrews 1:1-2 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God
spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he
has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all
things, through whom also he created the world.
- Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge
and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will
not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved
into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though
the mountains tremble at its swelling.
- Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing
salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and
worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly
lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the
appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
- Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not
lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own
eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.
- 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves,
therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time
he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he
cares for you.
- 2 Timothy 1:12 ...for I know whom
I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until
that Day what has been entrusted to me.
- Galatians 6:14 But far be it from
me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which
the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
- James 1:17 Every good gift and
every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of
lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to
change.
- 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep
loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of
sins.
- Romans 10:9-11 ... if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is
Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is
justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the
Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be
put to shame."
- Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one
who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will
quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
- 1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony, that God gave us
eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has
life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life
